“Andy loves Hartford and is tirelessly promoting a positive vision of the capital city. During the course of any week, Andy covers various greater Hartford events. One time we put the newspaper and a town magazine together after a fire in the building. We had no heat or electricity. Nothing stopped Andy and staff. It was amazing that we went to press on time. I am among the many who share the honor to work, laugh and become friends with Andy “Mr. Hartford,” stated co-worker Michael McGarry.
During the event in the garden of the historic Hartford Home music was featured by Cortes Chavez Trio. “I have worked with Andy a number of years. He is an extremely talented person. His history and photography background is extensive. It would be hard to find a finer newspaper/photographer,” added Greater Hartford News office assistant Alicia Healey.
