HARTFORD – Hartford native and professional Photographer/Journalist Andy Hart’s “The Hartford I Know” photography exhibit was featured at the Butler McCook House and Garden located on 396 Main Street, downtown Hartford, Connecticut.

On Thursday evening June 4, 2012 Hart was greeted by an overwhelming number of families, friends, community members and former and current co workers of Greater Hartford News at the event.

“Andy loves Hartford and is tirelessly promoting a positive vision of the capital city. During the course of any week, Andy covers various greater Hartford events. One time we put the newspaper and a town magazine together after a fire in the building. We had no heat or electricity. Nothing stopped Andy and staff. It was amazing that we went to press on time. I am among the many who share the honor to work, laugh and become friends with Andy “Mr. Hartford,” stated co-worker Michael McGarry.

During the event in the garden of the historic Hartford Home music was featured by Cortes Chavez Trio. “I have worked with Andy a number of years. He is an extremely talented person. His history and photography background is extensive. It would be hard to find a finer newspaper/photographer,” added Greater Hartford News office assistant Alicia Healey. The Connecticut Landmark the Butler McCook House and Gardens Is opened Thursday-Sunday llam-4 pm. Andy Hart’s Exhibition of Photography is on display until the end of June.
