Shots Fired in Drive By in Bloomfield

Two Local Men Shot During Drive-by Shooting

Bloomfield, CT - (9/16/09 - Bloomfield Police responded to multiple 911 calls of shots fired in the 90 block of Boothbay Street around 8:00 P.M.

Responding units located two local males; one of which sustained a gunshot wound to his abdomen and the other having indications that a bullet passed through loose material in his pants. A third male was taken to an area hospital by friends, having suffered a gun shot wound to his leg.

It was reported that a vehicle pulled up to the front of 92 Boothbay Street, where a number of young men were congregated in the driveway. One or more persons from the vehicle opened fire on the men, who in turn, returned fire at the car. The vehicle was then seen fleeing the area.
