Motor Vehicle Crash on Tower Avenue

Update

(Hartford) - On Monday, May 17, 2010 at approximately 3:50 am, Hartford Police, Fire and EMS responded to the area of 236 Tower Avenue for a motor vehicle crash with injuries. Upon arrival it was discovered that a silver 2000 Nissan Altima was traveling west on Tower Avenue at a high rate of speed when it lost control and struck a tree on Tower Avenue between Hampton Street and Barbour Street.

One occupant of the vehicle, Ladisha Williams, 17 years old of Hartford, was extricated and transported to Saint Francis Hospital where she is listed in stable condition. The Hartford Fire Department continued extrication efforts but the other three occupants of the vehicle, Shakela Patterson, 19 years of age from Hartford, Anthony Smith, 22 years of age from Hartford, and Carlos Diaz, 22 years of age from Hartford were all presumed deceased by AMR personnel on scene.
