Police Officer Hit By Car; Schools On Lockdown Officer Being Treated At Yale-New Haven Hospital NEW HAVEN, Conn. – (WFSB-TV) - Police in New Haven said that one of their officers was hit by a car during a pursuit Thursday afternoon. New Haven police said that the officer's car was struck between Winthorp and Davenport Avenues in New Haven after attempting to box the suspect's car in. The officer was immediately taken to the hospital and is listed in fair condition. According to officials, Davis Street School and Career High School have been put on lockdown as a precautionary measure. (This is a Ch. 3 News Report)

Lab Worker Arrested in Yale Student Annie Le's Death New Haven, CT - A Yale University lab technician has been arrested in the slaying of graduate student Annie Le, police said. Raymond Clark was taken into custody this morning at a Super 8 motel in Cromwell, Connecticut. Bond for Clark has been set at million, New Haven Police Chief James Lewis said. Lewis described the killing as an instance of "workplace violence" but did not elaborate. Raymond Clark was apprehended about 8:10 a.m. ET at a Super 8 motel in Cromwell, Connecticut, where he had spent the night after being released Wednesday following his submission to DNA testing. Hours after his arrest, Clark appeared in court and did not enter a plea. Standing with chains on his ankles and his palms on a table, he looked only at the judge and spoke only to acknowledge that his rights were read to him.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (Sept. 16) - Connecticut's state medical examiner says a Yale University grad student died of traumatic asphyxiation. Dr. Wayne Carver's office released a short statement about the autopsy Wednesday, three days after 24-year-old Annie Le was found hidden inside the basement wall of a Yale medical school research building. Yale University graduate student Annie Le was killed by traumatic asphyxiation, the Connecticut medical examiner's office said Wednesday. Meanwhile, police released a man they'd detained as a "person of interest" in the case. Above, a surveillance photo, left, shows Le entering the lab on Sept. 8, the day she was last seen alive. Police have called Yale lab technician Raymond Clark III a "person of interest" in the case and have collected DNA and other physical evidence. No charges have been filed. Clark was taken into custody Tuesday night at his apartment in Middletown, Conn., and was released into the custody of his attorney about 3 a.m. Wednesday, New Haven police said. Police left the apartment Wednesday morning after searching the scene for hours overnight looking for evidence in the killing of Annie Le. See Full Story!
